I decided to look it up – and guess what – it appears to be real.
If you happen to know what book this picture shows, I’d love to know. I’d be very interested in reading it. In fact, I thought I might have a book or two that I could find it in, but I haven’t located it in any of them.
What is Beef Fizz?
It’s essentially a fizzy drink that you make by combining beef broth and a fizzy clear soda.
Though I can’t locate where this particular image came from – it does seem that there is a reference to this type of drink in a 1968 Campbell’s Cook Book. Which, I thought I owned. But in digging through my collection, I couldn’t find this one.
I haven’t yet tried this. But I am slightly considering making a video where I try it. At the moment, I just can’t bring myself to waste good beef broth on the recipe.
If you happen to give this a try, let me know in the comments.
