  • 1 Cup cake flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ Cup hot milk
  • 1 Tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp flavoring (vanilla)


  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Prepare 8x8 square baking pan
  • Beat eggs 8-10 minutes with hand mixer
  • Gradually add in sugar, and continue mixing
  • add in flavoring (vanilla)
  • In separate bowl, sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Combine with egg mixture
  • Place the butter in hot milk. When melted, add it to other mixture. Beat until smooth
  • Pour into baking dish
  • Bake 35 - 40 minutes
