- 3 ripe bananas, firm
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 Cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp lemon rind, grated (lemon zest)
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- dash cinnamon, ground
- dash nutmeg, ground
- In skillet over low heat, melt butter
- Add sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg to skillet
- Stir continuously unti thick and bubbly
- Peel bananas and slice as desired (length-wise or coin-sized)
- Place sliced bananas into skillet
- Turning once, cook up to 3 minutes
- Serve warm with your choice of pairing: ice cream, French toast, whipped cream
