How to Make Pecan Pie Bars and Squares

Oh, my word! This vintage pecan pie bar recipe that I found is absolutely delicious! It was titled Loretta Lynn’s Pecan Honeymoon Squares – and intrigued me from the get-go.

Who is Loretta Lynn?

Loretta Lynn was a legendary American country music singer-songwriter who made music for over 60 years. Born in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky in 1932, Loretta began singing at a young age and went on to become one of the most successful female artists in country music history.

Her distinctive voice, authentic lyrics, and relatable storytelling have made her a beloved figure to generations of fans. Known for hits such as “Coal Miner’s Daughter” and “Don’t Come Home A’ Drinkin’ (With Lovin’ on Your Mind),”

I wasn’t able to find out why this recipe was called Loretta Lynn’s Pecan Honeymoon Squares. However, my best guess is that it showed up in a magazine or other print. From there, it was used in random households around the country.

If you’re a fan of pecan pie, you’ll definitely love this tasty treat. It’s also easier to throw together than making a pie. You won’t have to deal with a traditional pie crust – and you can whip this up quickly!

I have no idea why the word “honeymoon” would be in the title either.

In the end, this is a pecan pie bar – and it is yummy!
