In large bow, mash banana with a potato masher.
Mix in egg, and sugar. Stir until everything is thoroughly combined.
Stir in milk, vanilla and melted butter
Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until combined.
Set aside and allow batter to rest 15 minutes
In skillet, melt butter over a medium heat. When skillet is hot, spoon in approximately 1/3 C of batter. This makes one pancake. (You can add a little more if you'd like a larger pancake!)
Cook until bubbles begin to appear on the top of pancake. About 3 -4 minutes. Flip pancake and cook an additional 2 - 3 minutes.
Serve with butter, syrup, and, whipped topping, slices of banana, and chopped nuts.
