Try this delicious meringue topping on your favorite spice cake!

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ Cup nuts, chopped

Instructions

  • Beat egg whites until frothy
  • Beat in the brown sugar and lemon juice until stiff
  • Spread on cake immediately
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts over meringue
  • Bake approximately 10 minutes at 400° to brown meringue
